When I turned 45, I suddenly needed reading glasses for up-close work. I soon discovered how easy it is to scratch lenses and how annoying it is to try to focus through an array of scratches. So I crocheted myself this eyeglass case to protect my glasses, and I love it!<\/p>\n

This particular pattern utilizes a beautifully textured stitch that looks like woven wicker when complete. You can make three eyeglass cases with one spool of cord, so make one for you and a couple to gift to friends. Or use the extra to crochet up one of my coin purse or clutch patterns!<\/p>\n

Once crocheting is complete, finishing your purses requires some sewing to add a lining and a zipper closure. You can use a machine or hand sew. If sewing isn’t in your skill set, recruit a friend or family member with seamstress skills to help. It only takes a half hour to create the lining and set the zipper. I have filmed a step-by-step instructional video to walk you through the process.
