The finished product measures approximately 5″ x 8″, making it small enough to tuck inside a larger bag, but it’s still big enough to put your phone, keys and wallet inside and carry as a purse when you want to travel light. The size makes it a great makeup bag!<\/p>\n

Basic stitches make this an easy project to crochet, with advanced techniques demonstrated in pictures in the pattern. And as always I will offer assistance with any of my patterns if needed.<\/p>\n

Once crocheting is complete, finishing your purses requires some sewing to add a lining and a zipper closure. You can use a machine or hand sew. If sewing isn\u2019t in your skill set, recruit a friend or family member with seamstress skills to help. It only takes a half hour to create the lining and set the zipper.
