The Wicker Weave Clutch utilizes a beautifully textured stitch that looks like woven wicker when complete. The pattern uses all basic stitches. The only reason it’s rated an Easy Intermediate is that you will work in several rows at the same time. If you’re up for a rewarding challenge, download the pattern and enjoy learning to create this amazing textured stitch.
Each roll of cord will make two clutches, so make one for you and one for a friend. It’s a project you can complete in just a couple of nights.
Once crocheting is complete, finishing your purses requires some sewing to add a lining and a zipper closure. You can use a machine or hand sew. If sewing isn’t in your skill set, recruit a friend or family member with seamstress skills to help. It only takes a half hour to create the lining and set the zipper. I have filmed a step-by-step instructional video to walk you through the process.
